Transport company
A transport company is a key player in the logistics chain, responsible for transporting goods between various entities—whether manufacturers, distributors, or end customers. These companies may offer both passenger and freight transport services, which can be either public (available to the general public) or private (contract-based services between specific parties).
Unlike freight forwarders, who coordinate shipments across multiple carriers and entities, transport companies typically use their own vehicles and handle transportation under their own responsibility. This means they enter into contractual relationships with senders and recipients and are directly accountable for the safe and timely delivery of goods.
