Supply chain
The supply chain (also known as the logistics chain) describes the entire process through which goods, information, and money move from the manufacturer to the end customer. It is a network of various components – from manufacturers and suppliers to warehouses, carriers, and retailers.
The goal of the supply chain is to ensure that goods and information reach the customer as efficiently as possible – quickly, affordably, and reliably. This includes purchasing materials, warehousing, order processing, production planning, transportation, and distribution.
With growing globalization and the rise of e-commerce, smart supply chain management is playing an increasingly important role – helping companies handle complex flows of goods across the world while maintaining customer satisfaction.
