Fake news

Fake news are deliberately false or misleading pieces of information presented as if they were real. They are spread through social media, websites, blogs, television, or even print media, and are often intended to manipulate public opinion, create confusion, or influence people’s views—often for political or economic purposes.

Unlike incorrect information, which may arise from mistakes or misunderstandings, fake news are intentionally crafted to deceive while appearing credible.
